Dietcare - PCOS Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

Dietcare one-2-one sessions at the Innercore Clinic Leeds

Dietcare offers you a unique, personalised PCOS slimming experience with one-to-one support all the way, from your own PCOS Diet Adviser.

Wherever you may live in the world, we are here to help you lose weight, maintain your weight loss, and offer specialist advice about PCOS diets.

  • When you suffer with PCOS doctors now agree that your metabolic rate is slower than non-sufferers, so in order to be successful you need specific metabolic rate diets.
  • PCOS sufferers can also be short of B vitamins, so again you need a diet rich in B vitamins.
  • PCOS sufferers can also be carbohydrate sensitive, so you need to know which carbs to avoid.
  • At Dietcare we have researched PCOS and provide diets that are specially prepared for each PCOS sufferer. You can now have confidence that you will lose weight.

What is PCOS?

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
is a health condition linked with hormonal imbalances and insulin resistance. It can bring about a whole range of symptoms and health problems that can be very distressing for the PCOS sufferer. These symptoms can range from irregular or non-existent periods, excess body and facial hair, acne, food cravings, chronic weight gain, tiredness, fatigue, depression, hair loss, mood swings, breast pain, abdominal pain, aching joints, dizziness, fertility problems, and an increased tendency to faint.

Research acknowledges that as many as one in four women has PCOS, even though they may not be aware of this fact. Lots of the symptoms can be masked or diagnosed as PMS. Not every woman with PCOS suffers with all the related symptoms. You could have any combination of them to any degree of severity, or even have no obvious symptoms at all except the cysts on your ovaries that give the condition its name. PCOS is believed to be caused by the inability of the ovaries to produce hormones in the right proportions and can be diagnosed with an ultrasound scan.

There is no cure for PCOS but it can be treated with a personal PCOS metabolic rate diet and lifestyle changes. Dietcare will provide a set of metabolic rate diets to help you as an individual. There is also a range of medication that may be prescribed by your doctor to help reduce various symptoms. When you suffer with PCOS, your metabolic rate can be much slower than normal, because of the medication that you may be taking, and this can affect how quickly you lose weight. Certain medication, taken over a period of time by PCOS sufferers, can deplete the body of essential vitamins.

How Dietcare Can Help

Dietcare’s unique slimming course has already helped thousands of women with PCOS lose weight, reduce unpleasant symptoms and even overcome fertility problems.

On our course each client with PCOS completes a confidential questionnaire, so that a personal set of healthy-eating, weight loss diets can be provided to suit the individual needs of each female. Dietcare has produced a special low fat, low sugar, low carbohydrate, and protein diet, with added vitamins and minerals that is proving very successful and effective for PCOS sufferers.

Our experience has shown that PCOS sufferers need more than diet advice and support. They need one-to-one counselling to help them to cope with their symptoms. Dietcare offers each client a specially trained Personal Diet Adviser who will guide them through their course, on a one-to-one basis.

Weight Loss – Symptoms – Becoming Pregnant

Many of our slimmers with PCOS have found that their unpleasant symptoms reduce as they lose weight on their diet, and their craving for carbohydrate diminishes.

In fact, several women, who have lost weight and wished to conceive, have now become pregnant naturally, without IVF intervention. It is a known fact that losing weight healthily, giving your body the vitamins that it needs, and getting yourself to optimum health, will give you the best possible chance of getting pregnant – if that is your goal.

The healthy eating plan, provided by Dietcare is proving a real breakthrough. With this plan and the constant support provided by your Personal Adviser, you will be successful like so many before you.

If you want any more information, please contact Dietcare at Innercore and you will receive all the help and support necessary from experts who care enough to understand your symptoms and provide the support that you need to be successful.

PCOS - things you may not know.

Metformin, Clomid, Dianette and other PCOS medication
Did you know that if you have been on Metformin for a long period of time (12 months or more), it can deplete the body of essential vitamins, in particular B vitamins which are essential for muscle tone? A lack of B vitamins can result in some PCOS sufferers having mood swings, tiredness, lethargy, irritability, insulin and fertility problems. Dietcare can provide a personal diet, rich in these vitamins, which will give you all the stamina that you need for health, without hunger pangs, and with no gimmicks. Because of the success of these healthy eating plans, hospitals are now sending their patients to us, for help.

Have you gained weight whilst suffering with PCOS?
It could be an insulin problem which can lead to a cycle of carbohydrate cravings. To help you cope with your symptoms, and lose weight healthily, you need a low-fat, low-sugar, low-carbohydrate and protein healthy eating plan. This plan needs to be worked out to suit your individual metabolic rate and lifestyle, but it also needs to be rich in the extra vitamins that your body is short of, in order to get you back to optimum health. Dietcare can provide this plan. It is now agreed by the medical profession that PCOS sufferers have a different metabolic rate from women who do not have the condition. Standard diets just do not work long-term, whereas Dietcare Metabolic Rate diets do.

Pesticides, chemicals and additives
Organically-grown fruit and vegetables are much better for each one of us, and they are strongly advised for the PCOS sufferer. If you cannot find organically-grown produce, or perhaps it is too expensive, you should be washing your non-organic produce in one part solution of cider vinegar and twelve parts water, to ensure that some of the pesticides and chemicals are removed. After washing this way, please rinse in clear, filtered, water, to remove the vinegar odour. PCOS sufferers already have hormone imbalances as well as insulin resistance, and need to keep their food plain, and, as far as possible, without additives, pesticides or chemicals. Washing vegetables and fruit in this way will help.

Pre-packed foods
Did you know that you should avoid processed or pre-packed foods? This is because of the additives, colourings and 'E' numbers that they can contain. Again, you need food that is free of all additives to ensure better health.

Canned drinks
Did you know that some canned drinks contain aluminium? They should be avoided, as should drinks from plastic bottles. Try always to drink from glass containers.

Microwaving
Did you know that microwaving ready-made meals, or any food that is in a plastic container, can cause problems for PCOS sufferers? These foods can also contain artificial colourings and additives and again, wherever possible, they should be avoided.
