SkinCeuticals Peel
SkinCeuticals, manufacturers of scientifically advanced skin care products, introduces its first two chemical peels for professional use. The new, gentle Gel Peels were developed to gradually improve the appearance and texture of the facial skin without irritation and lifestyle disruption.
The SkinCeuticals Gel Peels minimizes the appearance of surface lines, smoothes out rough skin texture, aids in clearing acne and helps fade hyper-pigmentation. The itreatments, can be accompanied by SkinCeuticals skin care products, used at home, pre and post treatment, and are designed to minimize patient down time.
Dr Mark Palmer, leading cosmetic physician explains: "To many people, the very word peeling conjures up horror - the idea of going tomato red and chilli-pepper sore and then peeling like a snake over several days or weeks. However, this is one of the simplest, yet most effective, anti-ageing and anti-malignant skin treatments that there is.”
Dr Eccleston goes on to advise: “Pregnant women usually find the pigment settles and fades after delivery. The problem is made worse by sunlight, so those affected, even those with darker skin, should always wear a broad spectrum, high SPF sunscreen.”
Two SkinCeuticals Gel Peel options are available depending on the client’s needs:
- SkinCeuticals Gel PeelGL contains Glycolic and Lactic Acid, which work synergistically to exfoliate the skin while reducing irritation and dryness. This treatment helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and is ideal for dry, photo-damaged and/or aging skin.
- SkinCeutical Gel PeelSM includes Salicylic and Mandelic Acid to exfoliate the skin while decongesting pores and reducing irritation. This light chemical peel revitalizes sensitive skin and is suited for people with oily, acneic, or sensitive skin, as well as for patients with darker complexions.
For optimal results, SkinCeuticals Gel Peel should be applied for a minimum of six sessions. In addition, the peel can be used as a companion treatment for other procedures including micro-dermabrasion.
SkinCeuticals Gel Peel is available through dermatologists, plastic surgeons and licensed skin care professionals.
