Xtreme Lashes ® are the crème de la crème of eyelash extensions and are popular amongst many celebrities in the UK and US. They add curl, length and thickness, opening up the eye for added definition. Xtreme Lashes® are semi-permanent eyelash extensions, available in various colours, lengths and thicknesses. They are not traditional false eyelashes - the lashes comprise of single strands of synthetic eyelash that are curved to replicate a natural lash and are applied one at a time to your own natural eyelash. They are 100% allergy-free and very easy to care for. Xtreme Lashes ® do not damage your natural lashes. Activities such as swimming and sauna will not affect the look of these luscious lashes. You will never need mascara again (but can use one if you wish, as long as it is water-based). A natural eyelash typically sheds every 60-90 days and is replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. As Xtreme Lashes® are applied one by one to each individual hair, after 2-4 weeks approximately a third of the lashes will have been shed. At this point, touch-ups are necessary to replace the lost eyelashes.

What are Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions?
Xtreme Lashes® are semi-permanent eyelash extensions comprising of single strands of synthetic eyelash that are curved to replicate a natural lash. They are applied one at a time to your own natural eyelash.
What are Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions made out of?
Xtreme Lashes® are made of synthetic polyester. Synthetic lashes respond better to wear and tear than other materials and are less likely to cause allergic reactions.
What do they look like and how do they feel?
If applied correctly by a professional, Xtreme Lashes® look and feel like your own natural lashes. The consultation serves as an opportunity to customise the lashes to you individually. The lashes come in different colours, lengths and thicknesses and the thickness applied depends on the health and thickness of your own natural lash as well as personal preference. Xtreme Lashes® move with your natural lashes, are flexible and crimp-resistant and are the same size and weight as natural lashes.
As Xtreme Lashes® are an exact replica of a natural lash, they weigh the same - practically nothing. Therefore, you will not notice or be able to feel the lash extensions. Nor will they make your natural lashes fall out ahead of their natural cycle, as is the case with other enhancement methods.

How long do Xtreme Lashes® last?
As long as they are correctly applied and maintained, you will need a touch-up every 2-4 weeks to replace the lashes that have been shed.
How long does the procedure take?
Depending on the number of lashes to be applied, it usually takes between 90-150 minutes to apply a full set. Touch-ups take up to an hour.
How do I prepare for the procedure?
Do not curl your eyelashes or wear mascara. The Xtreme Lashes® stylist will cleanse your eyelashes.
How are they applied?
You will be comfortably reclined with your eyes closed. The eyelash extensions will be applied one by one to your natural eyelash. The procedure is pain-free and some customers find it so relaxing and comfortable that they fall asleep!
Care and Maintenance
How do I take care of my new lashes?
Xtreme Lashes® are very easy to care for. However, the first twenty-four hours are crucial for a strong bond. Keep your lashes dry and avoid touching them. After that, simply avoid
oil-based products, cleanse regularly and be gentle. Your Xtreme Lashes® stylist will provide you with an aftercare leaflet.
Can I swim, shower, exercise or visit a spa when I have Xtreme Lashes®?
Yes, there is no need to make any changes to your lifestyle. As long as you follow the simple aftercare instructions and are not overly exposed to heat or moisture, the Xtreme Lashes® will last through the natural lash cycle. Please do not go swimming or in the sauna for 48 hours after application, to ensure the adhesive has bonded.
Do I need to use any special products?
There are no products that are required to be applied to the lashes. The Xtreme Lashes® Lash Extension Eye Make-up Remover is recommended for cleansing. If you choose to wear mascara, it is recommended to opt for one of the Xtreme Lashes® water-based mascaras. If you have very oily skin, you may wish to use Xtreme Protective Coating® which acts as a sealer on the adhesive, creating a stronger bond.
Can I use mascara?
One of the main benefits of Xtreme Lashes® is that you need not use mascara ever again. If you do wish to use mascara, it has to be water-based. It is recommended to use one of the Xtreme Lashes® water-based mascaras. Never use waterproof or oil-based mascara.
How often should I get touch-ups?
A natural eyelash is shed every 60-90 days and is replaced by the growth of a new one. As Xtreme Lashes® are applied to each individual eyelash, after 2-4 weeks approximately a third will have cycled out. Therefore, you should get a touch-up ideally every three weeks.
Can I have the lashes removed?
As you shed your natural lashes, the Xtreme Lashes® will shed with them. However, if necessary, the lashes can be professionally removed by an Xtreme Lashes® stylist using a specially formulated adhesive remover. Never try to remove Xtreme Lashes® yourself, this can cause damage to the natural lash.
Health and Safety
Is the product safe?
At the moment, Xtreme Lashes® are not regulated by any official body as they are solely applied to the eyelashes and do not touch the skin. The primary ingredient used in all of the adhesives is the same ingredient used by plastic surgeons in the US for suture-less wound closure. There is no pain involved and it is a relaxing experience. However, if applied by an unqualified person, damage can be caused to eyelashes, eyes and eyelids.
Do Xtreme Lashes® damage the natural lashes?
Xtreme Lashes® do not damage the natural eyelashes. The adhesives are a perfect blend of safety, longevity, flexibility and strength. Xtreme Lashes® can only be applied by a trained professional who must attend a Certification Training Programme in order to become certified by Xtreme Lashes®.
Is there anyone who cannot or should not have Xtreme Lashes®?
As Xtreme Lashes® are applied to the natural lash, you must have some natural lashes for the procedure. Xtreme Lashes® should not, and in many cases cannot, be applied on clients who have alopecia, are undergoing chemotherapy or who have trichotillomania, unless and until they have received effective treatment and normal eyelash growth has resumed.
